Year of the Quilt Extravaganza

The American Folk Art Museum is putting together a 1 time, 6 day exhibition of 650
Antique Red and White quilts the last week of March. These quilts are from a single
private collection in New York, and have never been open to the public. The
exhibition, which will be housed at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan, is free to
the public.
The Patchwork Pearl is putting together a bus trip to go to the show on March 28th.
The coach bus will leave the Nashua NH Rte 3 Park and Ride at 6AM on the 28th, make
a stop at the Burlington Mall to pick up additional quilters, and head south. We'll
arrive in Manhattan late morning, and we'll have the afternoon at the Exhibit. The
bus will depart the City late afternoon, stopping at Rein's deli in CT for dinner on
the return trip home. We expect that it will be a long day, and would be returning
to Nashua sometime after 10.
The cost for the trip (including the driver's tip) is $75.00 round trip if you pick
the bus up in Nashua, and $85.00 round trip if you pick the bus up in Burlington,
with any dinner and shopping that you are doing extra.
I'd love to see as many NE quilters as possible join us. Reservations can be made by
emailing me at Linda@thepatchworkpearl.com, or calling me at 603-233-0320.
Thanks, and please check back her often for announcements of new packages.
