Historically, quilts have been used to mark major life events, such as babies, marriages, graduations, anniversaries, reunions“ and that tradition is alive and thriving. Today's
celebration quilts incorporate traditional ideas with modern materials and
methods, giving this generation a contemporary way to celebrate the important
Life Events in fabric. I learned that lesson well, while making a wedding quilt
for my oldest son. The story of that quilt, pictured below, is told in Cotton
Spice Magazines September 2007 issue, in the story "Do as I say, not as I do".
I'd like to help you make a celebration quilt for your "Life Event“ whether its on the size and scale of this quilt, or something completely different.
